The Grand Slam provides a fun, friendly and relaxed environment to enjoy a great game of bridge. We offer a range of sessions for beginners, intermediate and advanced players, in both daytime and nighttime.
For those who are new to the game, we have some upcoming beginner courses, that are run over four easy lessons with three additional practice sessions; all included with a copy of Paul Marston's "Introduction to Bridge" and the club joining fee, for just $49.
If you are in town and looking for a game, or are a regular player at the club, please feel free to request a partner, by giving Anne and the staff a call on (02) 6239 2223. Partners are guaranteed (just give notice up to an hour before the session), so there's no need to wait for a confirmation call.

There are two playing rooms, the main 'red' room and the smaller 'green' room which is often used for lessons, intermediate and supervised sessions.
Visitors are most welcome and if you require a partner just ring the club at least one hour prior to the game starting and we will guarantee you a game. Please specify which section you wish to play in, that is, open or intermediate, and we do not ring you back.
Just turn up at least 15 minutes before the game starts.

You play cards throughout the entire course which makes learning fun and easy.
A range of intermediate lessons are held throughout the year and members receive three free lessons per year. Interstate teachers such as Paul Marston and Ron Klinger also hold lessons at the Grand Slam Canberra.
Our events include many honour board events like the; the summer pairs; winter teams; club championship, rated tournament and the Australia-wide Novice pairs.

Her overseas bridge holidays have included Hawaii, Fiji, Vietnam and many destinations within Australia. She has escorted 3 bridge cruises to the Mediterranean, one to the Baltic, Canada &Alaska, and a Paris to Budapest River cruise. In 2015 her third Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona to Venice was sold out.
Computer Scoring & Internet Results
The Grand Slam makes the best use of technology available in the bridge community. Our new scoring system lets you enter contracts, leads and tricks won, into a system called "BridgeMate". Even our most technically-challenged members find the BridgeMate very easy to use. The results come out immediately after the last score has been entered and it enables some new features as part of our unique online results system, available to all of our members.
The Grand Slam Bridge Centre has re-located to 15 Geelong Street, Fyshwick. Geelong Street runs off Canberra Avenue, just five minutes from Kingston and Manuka shopping centres. It is situated entirely on the ground floor and there is ample on-site free parking.
